Recommended Gaming Laptops Review

No other dual-screen laptop comes close to matching the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 for power and style. Packed with features like its powerful Ryzen 9 processor and RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, its sleek form factor packs plenty of firepower into a powerful package.

If you want the ultimate immersive gaming experience, look no further than the MSI GS76 Stealth 13 (2023). This slim laptop packs enough power to run demanding titles at high fidelity.

Acer Predator Helios Neo 16

Acer’s Predator Helios Neo 16 gaming laptop is an aesthetically pleasing matte black gaming notebook featuring a shiny Predator logo that occasionally catches the light and shimmers purple-tinged light rays. Not too flashy or garish in appearance, this machine blends easily with both work and school environments.

As with the other Predator Helios laptops, the Neo 16 features a protruded tail for optimal cooling surfaces and branding purposes. Acer also added a decorative morse code pattern on its front cover that spells out “PREDATOR.”

Cyberpunk 2077 looked absolutely beautiful when I played it on the Helios Neo, even with all details turned up and ray tracing enabled. The vibrant IPS display delivered vibrant colors, an impressive 165Hz refresh rate and good contrast ratios.

Asus ROG Zephyrus M16

Asus’s Zephyrus M16 laptop offers desktop-grade performance in an ultraportable package. Equipped with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 mobile GPU, the M16 offers elegant matte black design that stands out against Alienware and Razer machines with flashier lights; only its AniMe Matrix lid LEDs can be disabled via its Armoury Crate app.

The M16 keyboard is both comfortable and responsive, although its speakers could benefit from being slightly louder on top. Furthermore, this device contains 2W tweeters and woofers to deliver solid audio performance.

Acer Predator Triton 300 SE

Acer’s Triton 300 SE gaming laptop is an elegant-looking ultrabook, bordering on ultrabook territory in terms of design. Although not immediately identifiable as a typical gaming rig, its Predator logo on its lid and large vents near its hinge give away this fact.

At 1.7 kg, this portable computer may seem heavy compared to most gaming laptops; however, its lightweight construction allows it to still provide excellent battery life for a slim portable. Furthermore, its impressive 144Hz screen makes this an impressive investment.

The Triton 300 SE’s bottom-firing speakers may not be loud, and don’t provide the bass needed to support heavy music or games; however, its audio quality remains good overall. Furthermore, both its keyboard and glass precision trackpad feel solidly constructed while it features plenty of ports that can accommodate accessories.

Lenovo Legion 5i Pro

The Legion 5i Pro is an impressive gaming laptop with plenty of room for upgrades. Powered by an Intel Core i7-12700H CPU that features six hyperthreaded P-cores and eight energy efficient E-cores – top speeds reach up to 4.7GHz!

The RTX 3060 is an excellent graphics chip for high-resolution games, and averaged 65fps when set to Horizon Zero Dawn’s Ultimate preset at 2560x 1600 resolution with the Ultimate preset settings. Furthermore, its native resolution achieved an 186fps score in Rainbow Six Siege; additionally its 165Hz panel can accommodate higher refresh rates.

Lenovo’s keyboard offers a comfortable typing experience, and its trackpad offers enough room to support four-finger gestures. Additionally, its downward-firing speakers deliver good audio quality but may limit maximum volume output. Battery life was impressive too: in our modest work tests it lasted over seven hours!

Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Gaming

Lenovo’s IdeaPad 5 Gaming Chromebook delivers impressive value for the money. Equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM memory as well as 256GB SSD storage, its performance is exceptional for such an affordable device.

This should provide more than enough power for less demanding games and even some high-end ones if you are willing to lower graphics settings a bit; recent racer GRID: Legends ran smoothly at medium settings and 1080p resolution in our tests.

The IdeaPad 5 Gaming also boasts a 120Hz display that adds smooth gameplay while also improving day-to-day visuals by making scrolling and animated transitions appear responsive. Unfortunately, however, one of its few downsides is it does not come equipped with an Ethernet port to reduce latency – especially now that Google Stadia cloud gaming service has shut down.
